At TechSmith, I am software engineer assigned to the Camtasia Studio team. Camtasia Studio allows users to create, edit, and share informational videos. This is my first opportunity to work in and experience the Lansing area.

As a member of the inside sales team, I answer customer inquiries, process orders and work to increase our sales worldwide.

I help turn ideas into action by supporting a wide variety of marketing activities, including researching, writing, and organizing customer stories and content.

1. Working with stakeholders to streamline CMS content to the TechSmith Website and troubleshoot problems
2. Adding new features and enhancing existing features of the TechSmith websites (English & Foreign)
3. Working with product teams to ensure that new product releases and information regarding them become accessible on the web
4. Working with the WP team to devise internal strategies aimed at:
   1. Enhancing our team’s development methodology, organization, productivity, and efficiency
   2. Putting TechSmith in a position to better serve its customers and keep them satisfied with our both products and web support services
5. Finding other new and innovative ways to make TechSmith better as a functional business entity

TechSmith Corporation's Inside Sales Specialists are the voice of TechSmith, working with customers and helping them understand the value in our software. The Inside Sales Specialist works as part of a team, handling large volumes of inbound communication via a variety of technologies.

I am a fortunate member of the TechSmith Corporation marketing department.  In my role as Product Marketing Manager, I help shape the strategic direction of our portfolio of products that assist people capture elements in their life, either personal or for work,  and easily share them through a wide-range of communications.

Draft and edit persuasive marketing-based copy including emails, print material, website content, sales and marketing presentations, newsletters, product focused user stories, advertisements, direct mail pieces, scripts for marketing videos, and other creative and technical writing assignments as needed.

Assess, design, develop and assist in testing and maintaining solutions across a variety of different platforms, technologies, and programming languages.

In this role, my primary responsibility will be to reinforce and grow the company’s market presence as a leading developer of business intelligence and visualization software products.
 
I bring more than twenty years of strategy, marketing management, and product innovation expertise to IDV Solutions, including technology marketing experience at Deneba Software and Microsoft. My accomplishments include helping organizations develop winning corporate and marketing strategies, identify opportunities and launch new products, build brands, and engage their customers with dynamic and creative marketing campaigns.
 
My appointment comes as IDV Solutions launches Visual Command Center (VCC), a new software product that unites organizations’ security applications and devices into a consolidated, actionable view; as well as a major update to Visual Fusion, the business intelligence and visualization software technology underpinning VCC.  
 
I’ve been a strong proponent of using visualization to help organizations extract the most insight and value from their data, and I’m very excited to be joining an organization that is absolutely world-class in this area. The entire marketing team is looking forward to delivering a strong contribution to IDV Solutions’ growth and future success.
