TechSmith Corporation's Inside Sales Specialists are the voice of TechSmith, working with customers and helping them understand the value in our software. The Inside Sales Specialist works as part of a team, handling large volumes of inbound communication via a variety of technologies.

I am a fortunate member of the TechSmith Corporation marketing department.  In my role as Product Marketing Manager, I help shape the strategic direction of our portfolio of products that assist people capture elements in their life, either personal or for work,  and easily share them through a wide-range of communications.

Draft and edit persuasive marketing-based copy including emails, print material, website content, sales and marketing presentations, newsletters, product focused user stories, advertisements, direct mail pieces, scripts for marketing videos, and other creative and technical writing assignments as needed.

Assess, design, develop and assist in testing and maintaining solutions across a variety of different platforms, technologies, and programming languages.

As an Account Manager, I work to develop relationships and enhance product implementation with current clients while generating leads for possible new clients.
 
I chose this position because it allows me to use my experience with people to enhance relationships with existing customers and improve the possibility for NuWave to develop new clients.

In this role, I will support and grow the company’s relationships with state and local agencies throughout Michigan. I bring over 23 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, supporting Manufacturing, Financial and Public Sector clients. For the last ten years, I have been focused exclusively on government clients including the State of Michigan, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of Milwaukee, and several Michigan local governments under the MiDeal program. Internationally I led the Y2K Remediation Project for GM do Brasil in Rio de Janerio. Additionally, I serve as a member of the State of Michigan Children’s Trust Fund Advisory Committee, which I joined in 2007.

As an Account Manager, I am the first point of contact for any of my clients. The instant they have trouble with their current IT infrastructure, need to make improvements, or even if they plan on expanding on their existing hardware; I want them to think of me first.
 
I am excited about all of the new opportunities on the horizon, and all of the fresh, new people that have been recently hired into NuWave. Everyone I have met during my short time here seems to have passion far beyond what I expected. Not only a passion for technology, but a passion for providing the right solution for our clients regardless of their industry or size.

I am among a rare and growing breed of former residents returning to Lansing after decades of living on the West Coast! What brought me back were the amazing people, the low cost of living and a growing technology community. As a small business marketing consultant in Seattle, I had the pleasure of helping mom-and-pop shops, micro businesses and small startups grow their companies through strategic marketing and creative copywriting. It's thrilling to now apply my business expertise to one of the local success stories.

BioPhotonic Solutions is a small, second-stage startup company that develops and manufactures technology used for optimizing ultrafast lasers (known as femtosecond lasers). While we're proud to be an MSU spinout and a company home grown in Michigan, our products have a national and global reach. Just recently, the company was honored as one of 50 Michigan Companies to Watch, and our technology was singled out for excellence with the Innovation Award.

In my role as administrative manager of a seven-person company, it's not surprising that I have to wear a lot of hats. As the only non-scientist in the company, I do pretty much anything that isn't…well, science. On any given day I might be managing an email or print marketing campaign, fielding human resources issues, paying the bills, trying to grow our social media presence or organizing the myriad details that go into planning our annual workshop.

Volunteering is huge in my life, and in the year I've been back, it's one of the ways I've reacquainted myself with the area. I've had the pleasure of working with the MI-SBTDC (Small Business and Technology Development Center), the Greater Lansing Food Bank and many of the fun and eclectic events that take place in Old Town. This year, I'm excited to be a part of the planning committee that organizes Lansing JazzFest, Old Town BluesFest and Mosaic Festival.

I chose the training field after I heard in a meeting the techs were struggling to get everything done they needed to do along with doing the training & helping the end users after they went live, they had decided to hire a trainer. I spoke to my boss & let him know I was interested in the training position. I heard about the job  at NuWave through my sister who is a friend with one of the salesmen at NuWave (Glen Dudasik). I enjoy working with people & you get to meet so many different people when you go into different customer locations.  My love of working with people comes from working in my grandmothers restaurant for 11 years.

I am responsible for leading the NuWave team of sales associates, identifying new growth opportunities, and successfully selling NuWave's products and services to various sized businesses.

I support, configure, and install servers and PCs in a Windows environment.

TechSmith is a global software development company located in Okemos, Michigan. We create visual communication software used by 499 of the Fortune 500 and are proud to have more than 7 million users worldwide. I am responsible for developing and tracking project plans to support the creation and delivery of marketing collateral. I am part of the marketing creative team, but have responsibility for deliverables throughout the entire department.

I work with the User Experience Research team to help make TechSmith products easy to use. We conduct research to find out how TechSmith products are being used, what aspects of the products are working and what’s not, and how to make them better.

I work closely with both the Evangelists and Public Relations personnel to promote coordinated and effective strategic messaging. Attention to our users and potential users requires my coordination in the marketing department, with product managers and across the company. To reach maximum impact, I coordinate communication with our external agencies including six global markets. When I am not developing strategy or communicating with our contacts I pursue a number of interesting projects including various types of research and analysis, event planning and community coordination tasks, or additional pressing internal projects.
