IT: Jobs Landed

I work with the rest of the Camtasia Studio Windows team to fix bugs, add features, and generally work to make Camtasia Studio a better product that is easier and more enjoyable to use for our customers. For me, this means working by myself or with other people on the team to write solid code that fits in nicely with Camtasia Studio’s existing codebase, communicating with my teammates about what tasks I’m working on and what tasks are available, and giving feedback to the team about what is going well and what could be going better in our efforts to improve Camtasia Studio.

As a software engineer intern, I am working on a team of software engineers on the screen capture and video editing software, Camtasia Studio. This involves working on features and bugs in the software.

I create websites and software interfaces designed to optimize the users experience. I conduct research, surveys, interviews and usability tests to learn how do make the experience better. I then prototype and design the website or interface based on that research. I help attempt to make human computer interaction as error free as possible.

Will be designing and developing software and services that exist in the cloud to support existing TechSmith products.

As part of the Public Sector team for Dewpoint, I will continue my role at the State of Michigan in the central web development group, MI.gov. My key roles will be performing social media, marketing, and website analysis, managing specialty websites, CMA/CMS training, and SharePoint development. I look forward to adding my development and training skills to Dewpoint's growing Government Solutions team.
 
As a long-time resident of Lansing, I am active in the Old Town Commercial Association, both as a festival volunteer and as an Old Town Scrapfest artist.

I lead the team of hard working DBAs and we keep the databases available and performing well 24x7. I am responsible for managing the databases that support the mission-critical applications for Accident Fund and its subsidiaries.

My job involves writing, producing, and editing videos for Techsmith’s marketing department. My projects range from teasers for new product releases, tutorials, customer testimonials and anything else that requires video. I’m just getting started here, so I’ve yet to create a video of my own, but I’ve helped out with a few shoots and have really enjoyed my time here so far. I’m very excited to be part of the marketing department and working with a creative and talented team.

Manage large, complex insurance carrier groups. Responsible for customer relationship management for entire client lifecycle (Pre-sales, Implementation, Ongoing). Key focus is on growth, retention, and referrals of existing book of business.

Vertafore develops software that is used by insurance companies and agencies to help them manage their statutory compliance.  Project managers works with our new clients when they purchase the Vertafore product suite in order to get the product configured according to their individual needs and to help them learn and test the application to make sure it is working for them.  In Managed Services, we work with existing clients that need modifications, enhancements or custom development beyond what was done in their initial implementation.  I am responsible not only for delivering their requests, but also developing product offerings for our customers to enhance the value of the Vertafore solution.

I support, maintain and implement IT systems, services and applications that support the operations and goals of TechSmith Corporation. I work with teams across the company to ensure they have the necessary systems and resources available to support their projects and advising them on current and future technologies available to assist with their goals.

CAMW! houses a number of workforce development councils to focus on particular industries in greater Lansing, including the Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC), the Bio Economy Council, and the Capital Area IT Council (CAITC). The role of each council director is to provide services and business development tools to employers within that industry. Information Technology (IT) is the fastest growing industry in mid-Michigan and  IT employers need networking capabilities, an understanding of industry trends and initiatives, and access to a talented workforce. The Lansing area is a major hub of IT growth and activity and the CAITC is charged with providing vital resources to employers to help them continue to grow and thrive.

I'm responsible for the maintenance, deployment, management, care and feeding of desktop / laptop systems for the Home Office at the Two Men and a Truck headquarters. I’m also responsible for the security of the desktop systems in the form of AV deployment / management and working with the systems administrator to make sure everything inside the LAN runs smoothly.
