Jessi Wortley Adler

When term limits forced my boss out of the state Senate, I took the opportunity to further my career outside the Legislature and found an awesome job at Emergent BioSolutions. As the Internal Communications/External Relations specialist I wear many hats when it comes to my daily tasks. Internal Communications, Media Relations, Community Relations, and Special Events are just a few of my major responsibilities.

On any given day you can find me brainstorming with management on communications strategy, planning a special event (such as a press conference, campus tour or employee meeting), meeting with community leaders to discuss charitable giving opportunities, developing communications plans, writing a speech, editing reports, or serving as campus photographer. A few of my other responsibilities include chairing our Red Cross Partnership team, teaching company branding policy to new employees, serving on the editorial board for the company newsletter, and helping support and oversee the content on the company intranet. Needless to say, I am never bored!

Emergent BioSolutions Inc. is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacture and commercialization of vaccines and antibody therapies that assist the body’s immune system to prevent or treat disease. Emergent’s marketed product, BioThrax, is the only FDA-licensed vaccine for protection against anthrax infection.
