Michigan Flyer Invests $2 Million in Deluxe Coaches for Detroit Airport Service

A $2 million investment means Michigan Flyer will have a new fleet of four deluxe coaches by 2010.

The Michigan Flyer fleet takes passenger from several regions of the state, including East Lansing, to and from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Michigan Flyer Sales Manager Diane Moore says the company refreshes the buses to maintain quality for its growing client base.

“Our monthly numbers have increased every month from the previous year,” says Moore, adding that Michigan Flyer has taken 225,000 passengers to the airport within the last three years.

Michigan Flyer personnel estimate that each bus has the potential to remove 55 cars from the highway, reducing emissions and helping with traffic congestion.

The Michigan Flyer is also the first motor coach service listed within the airline reservation system, giving all major airline staff and 120,000 travel agents the ability to book Michigan Flyer trips.
